2025 Christmas Fundraiser

Help us bring Christmas cheer to a home for orphans and vulnerable adults in Ghana.

We’re raising $1000 CAD (~$715 USD) to provide meals, groceries, toys, and books to the 130 children and adults being housed by Human Services Trust this holiday season. Your gift also helps fund our 2026 initiatives, including tech education, school drives, and hygiene product distribution.

Why Donate to the Komenda Project

Since 2017, The Komenda Project has been creating meaningful change through programs in Ghana, powered by a small but passionate volunteer team across Canada, the U.S., and Ghana.

From school supplies to health workshops and tech training, we’ve delivered 1000s of resources and impacted 100s of children in underserved communities. Whether it’s a pencil or a desk, a hygiene kit or meal, your support goes directly to high-impact initiatives that are locally executed.

The Need

Human Services Trust is a Cape Coast–based NGO that provides a safe and supportive home for 130 orphans and vulnerable adults. Many of the residents come from difficult backgrounds and face limited access to resources, especially during the holiday season.

This Christmas, we want to bring comfort, dignity, and joy to every resident.

Your donation will help us provide:

Pre-made meals to enjoy together as a community
Groceries and staples to support well-being beyond the holidays
Books and toys to bring moments of joy to children in care

Every contribution is a reminder to these individuals that they are seen, valued, and not alone.

What Else Is in the Works

In addition to our Christmas program, your support helps us build for the future. In 2026, we aim to launch several new and ongoing initiatives in Ghana that continue our commitment to education and opportunity:

Feminine hygiene product donations to support young girls’ health and school attendance
Toilet facilities for a school without functioning restrooms
Continued school drives to equip more students with learning materials
Artisan entrepreneurship program to help local makers sell their goods on global platforms
